Savannah, officially.
Savannah Grace is a Nebraska born-and-raised author who loves writing—and reading—a good speculative story, because there’s no better place to escape than in a book. When she’s not lost in (or creating!) other worlds, Savannah can be found making a mess with watercolors, laughing way too loudly, or eating as much Korean food as she can get her hands on. She’s been the creative writing columnist for Pursue magazine’s website, the submissions manager for Illuminate YA, and is currently an associate editor for Havok Publishing. Savannah has had multiple short fiction pieces published in various places and loves helping writers hone their craft. You can find Savannah blogging at savannahgracewrites.blogspot.com, posting sporadically on her YouTube channel (Savannah Grace), or finally finding a use for all her book pictures over on Instagram (@savannahgraceauthor). She’d love to chat with you!
And Savannah...unofficially....
Hey there, friend! It's strange how hard it is for a writer to describe oneself, but shall we give this a shot anyways?
I'm Savannah Grace, and I've been a writer for a decade, a reader for even longer, and I've always had an eye for the unusual. Perhaps that's why my mind is so full of the tales of strange and fantastic beings. I'm also a Christian, and I love weaving themes of hope and strength and found family into my stories. I stubbornly refuse to believe that there's anywhere better to escape than in a book, and some of my (many) favorite authors include Nadine Brandes, Heather Dixon, and Maggie Stiefvater. One distant day I hope to match their prowess in wordplay :D.
When I'm not losing myself in (or creating!) other worlds, I can usually be found making a mess with watercolors, laughing way too loudly, or eating as much Korean food as I can get my hands on (bring me hotteok or gimbop and I'll be your best friend forever ;D). Also, geeking out over my favorite fandoms - the unfortunate soul who gets me started on Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, or (especially) Marvel should expect a long conversation (you have been forewarned). I'm also a night owl, because plot bunnies are shy creatures and easily scared, but they most often come out at night.
I'm the creative writing columnist for Pursue magazine's website, the submissions manager for Illuminate YA, and the associate editor for Havok Publishing. I've had multiple short fiction pieces published in various places and I love connecting with writers and helping them hone their craft! I can also be found blogging right here (savannahgracewrites.blogspot.com), posting sporadically on my YouTube channel (Savannah Grace), or finally finding a use for all my book pictures over on Instagram (@savannahgraceauthor). I'd love to chat with you!
Also, an ability to write my own bio is a talent I will never have until the day I die.
Here lies Savannah Grace. She was, if nothing else, an author atrocious at describing herself.
At least she tried.
