A Bookshelf Scavenger Vlog

September 14, 2017

Ariel and I haven't done a vlog since July? Shameful.

... well, here we are, terribly late and finally bringing you another!

a bookshelf scavenger tag

I wanted to do something bookish, but a bookshelf tour wasn't feeling right. So I browsed through some tags I've seen and ended up landing on the bookshelf scavenger tag, which seemed perfect! Have fun watching me and Ariel goof off talk about books ;).

   Ze links I mentioned ...

I hope y'all enjoyed that! I love love loved playing scavenger hunt with my own bookshelf, it was tons of fun. And if you guys decide to give this tag a shot in vlog-form on your own blog (I hereby tag all of you to do the thing), give me the link so I can check it out! I hope the rest of your September is epic, bookdragons <3.

what's something on your bookshelf that is not a book?

  1. Your books are beautiful! I am happy to say that I have read most of them, but those few I have not, I will definitely check out because if they are good enough to grace your bookshelf, then they must be worth reading. ;)

    1. Thank ya, Evangeline! And - as I get most of my books super cheap and secondhand - I'm not SUPER picky about what's on (some of) my bookshelves. But the books I've bought new? THOSE mean something xD.

  2. You are very confident on video. This was great. Did you draw that picture of the fire looking bird (phoenix?) Its really awesome.
How old are you, if you don't mind sharing? (I totally understand if you don't want to share. Hopefully its not a creepy question, lol.)
I love your bookshelves. I need to increase my book supply, lol.
Ooh, I want to read The Out of time trilogy. I'm waiting for it to come back to press. :P

    1. Thank you, Ivie! I try my best not to ramble TOO much :D. And yes, I did! It was from a tutorial, but still xD.

And I'm seventeen. I normally don't just throw out that information, but in comments I don't mind much ;).

Aw, thanks! And YES, Out Of Time <3 <3. I can't wait until we can both have the whole, glorious trilogy on our bookshelves!

    2. YES!! I need to read the trilogy. I even asked Mrs. Brandes when it was coming back and she said any day now. I'm just crossing my fingers that its soon so I can ask for it for Christmas.

Well, that picture is AMAZING! And what's a blog post or video without a little rambling? XD

That's cool! I'm eighteen. Seventeen's an awesome age. Actually, I wish I could go back to that. Its the age where you're almost an adult, but you're not quite an adult. I miss that, lol.

  3. Nice vlog. I think you may be my favorite vlogger so far??? And it's so much fun with Ariel in ther xD You are a pretty unique blogger if you ask me because your siblings comment on yours and on other people's places and even though they aren't, like, bloggers themselves (right?) they still seem so part of this whole community :D

It would be so much fun to do ... but I can't :P I have so few books. (let me tell you - I packed them all because we are moving, and they all fit into one box. WHAT?! Except Narnia and LotR which needed to go in another one xD)

    1. THANK YOU so very much, Lisa! Gracious, you're the bestest. <3 <3 <3 And I love having Ariel as my camerawoman, too xD. And yeah, none of them have public blogs, but they definitely love hanging with this epic community of bloggers!

Aw, that's sad - you need to get more, Lisa! I'd ship you some, but ACK, shipping prices xD. When you get more, you should do a bookshelf tour! That'd be fun ;). Thanks for commenting, friend!

You could do one where you introduce all your siblings, that would be fun! Or like, one with Jonah of something. Or about your favorite/least fave books...idk. I'm not good at coming up with stuff ;p

  11. That was SOOOO fun! Almost makes me want to try doing a vlog post...

Thanks for sharing some of your books with us. I am very much looking forward to reading Girl Who Drank the Moon, my friend got it for me as a baby-gift (she knows me well) and I haven't had a chance to read it yet.

Something on my bookshelf that is not a book... I have quite a few knick-knacks scattered amongst my tomes. A lego Darth Vader stands guard over the Star Wars section. A wizard and dragon reading books grace another shelf. I have a snow-globe with a cardinal in it given to me by my sister when we lived in NC so that I would always have snow, despite living in a place where we didn't get much of it...

    1. You should do a vlog, Jenelle! That would be SO epic, I'd love to watch it!

Ooh, someone gave it to you as a gift? Then you have an awesome friend - The Girl Who Drank The Moon was great! You'll have to give us your thoughts on it once you finish it ;).

Aw, you don't get much snow? That's sad - but at least you have your little cardinal reminding you of it ;). Your bookshelves sound like they're so cool! Thanks for commenting, Jenelle <3.

AAAANYWAYS. I love this and I love you both (and I love your bookshelves ;D). Keep vlogging. Your vlogs are my faaave!
